Chilling with Cheryl

So this morning I decided to text Cheryl, asking her if she was alright with me coming over today to help her out with her crisis of selling some of her stuff before she heads off to Uni. Well, she needed a camera to take photos of her stuff and I had a camera so yeah :) So I’m currently here at her place watching her have lunch while updating this post and calling Nur and Siti asking if they were free to come over at Cheryl’s place just to hang out.
So I’ve looked through all of Cheryl’s stuff together with her and OH MY GOD I love her shoes! I’ll see if I can fit into some and take photos; after she’s done eating her lunch. So I’ll be off for now and will return later! :)
4:00PM
So we finally went upstairs and started taking photos of the stuff that she planned on selling. Instead of just taking the merchandise lying flat on the bed, we played dress up and modelled the items that we for sale. It was LOTS of fun :D
OH! And I love this picture of Cheryl so much! Since it is taken by me, I have decided to add this picture to my photography collections. Don’t you think that Cheryl should be a model for Forever 21? Just saying since the dress in this photo is from Forever 21; and the whole guitar/straw hat country vibe was my idea for props in this shot. LOVE IT.

Driving

So today was the very first day of my continuing driving lessons since three weeks ago; and I must add that I am SUCH a noob. I think I pissed my teacher off lots, why? Sat in the car and drove about a few metres to the stop light and BOOM! Stalled the car twice and she made that ‘tsk tsk tsk’ sound in a really annoyed way. What can I say? That was like my 7th out of 10 lessons and my car still stalls *big sigh* I guess she was in a bad mood as well for two reasons: one, her brother-in-law passed away yesterday (I was supposed to have lesson then but because of this incident it was postponed to today) and two, the student before me was probably driving her mad as I watched from the waiting area outside the canteen. Hitting the poles in parallel parking, stalling, etc. Oh well. I completely forgot how to parallel park, so my teacher kind of gave me the annoyed vibe while in the car. Today we did slopes too... For the first time. Damn. It was scary; not the balancing part but controlling my speed once I got over the slope and heading downhill. Hopefully next lesson will be a little bit better :S

Family Outing

So this afternoon we had a so-called family outing - what can I say? I gotta be up and excited about hanging out with my family since I’ll be soon (hopefully) off for University. So we left the house at about 4PM to pick up my sister from school. Then we headed off to the Mall. In a nutshell, I called the cinema yesterday to book tickets to watch the film The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and the guy told me that we had row M which was  5 rows from the screen. Then when we got to the Mall, my sister and I went to pick up our tickets. To my surprise, the tickets had been cancelled and WAY more expensive than I’d imagine. After having to call three guys to help sort out the ticket problem, one of the guy’s realised that the ticket was booked for yesterday; weekend ticket = more expensive, cancelled because it was for yesterday -_-” so okay, they booked us for the 5:30PM show TODAY, and wahey lucky us we got row C tickets which were way back from the screen. So after solving the ticket problem, we walked around the Mall to kill time. Soon, it was time for the movie; my sister and I managed to finish a bucket of popcorn during the trailers and commercials before the movie started. After the movie, we wanted to have dinner at Fratini’s but it was raining. So instead we had dinner at KFC inside the Mall and then after that, we headed home.
Overall, the movie was nice; not something I’d watch over and over again though to be honest, but I LOVED the effects, especially when Dave made music with... those electrical things. Sorry, I’m not a Physics 101 person. I’ve only appreciated it because I saw something similar (excluding the visible electrical waves) during my recent trip to Singapore at the Singapore National Museum. They used six oversized satellite dished to capture the sounds of the stars in outer-space and made music with them. Okay, back to the film, my sister thinks that Nicholas Cage should comb his hair more often in this film while my other sister couldn’t stop laughing throughout the film. All in all, it’s a great family film :D

Lunch with the California Gurls

So after a 2-week long holiday in Singapore, my girls decided that it was about time that we all hung out together again (well we were missing Aqilah and Nyssa who were still on holiday, but I’m sure we’ll have a complete outing with everyone around soon). Cheryl came across Fratini’s special 50% off for all meals and so that’s where we decided to have lunch. After lunch, we roamed around the Mall and eventually got bored. We then headed to the cinema to check what movies were currently on, and we decided to watch Despicable Me (again, for me that is - just love the film). Before the movie started, we still had time to roam around and so we went to Body Shop to buy some stuff and we ended up donating and drawing our hands on paper with words of wisdom? Something like that about sex/child trafficking - the funny thing was, Nabilah and I had no idea how to spell trafficking and we looked like idiots looking up at the poster on how to spell the word to write on our hand drawings. Anyway, after that scandalous event, we then headed to the cinema to watch our movie. When the movie was done, Nur left and so did Valerie which left me, Cheryl, Nabilah & Siti to roam around and have a snack at Swensens. After Swensens, Nabilah left, Siti sent me home and viola! A day in the life with my California Gurls :)

Singapore 2010

So my plane just landed in about an hour ago; yes the mighty Ally G is back from her 2-week vacation to Singapore and to be honest, I have never felt so beat in my entire life! Must be the late nights and early mornings I had during my time in Singapore. For my first few days it was practically busy helping my Dad get his visit visa to Canada and a hint of shopping. He bought me a Macbook Pro and the new LG Lollipop phone. I also had the time to do my medical examination for my study permit to Canada, and after my Dad left for Indonesia, I got my hair done and shopped like crazy! On the first weekend, my cousin and I had our little getaway to Universal Studios. The second week was pretty slow for I stayed home most of the days and just played computer games. But by the second weekend, the pace changed up again as my cousin and I had our second getaway to Sentosa to watch ‘Songs of the Sea’ after which we headed to the National Museum with my uncle, aunt and other cousin to watch the Satellite Show. I met up with friends, Arthur & Christina as well over the weekend at ION Orchard (seriously, the Paris of Asia I tell you). And here I am now on my computer sharing my vacation in a nutshell.

Welcome!

Welcome to my new webpage! From now onwards I will be using this to give a little more than just a status update or nutshell summaries on Facebook. I’ll be giving you in the in-depth of the daily/weekly updates of my life just for my friends, and those who don’t mind a little light reading. So I hope you tune in day to day (or week to week) depending on how much really goes on in my life and how much free time I’ve got on my hands to write about my life. So for now, tootles and read on! :)
